Role Profile
Team Leaders manage individuals, teams, or projects to meet organisational goals across private, public, and voluntary sectors. They provide leadership with operational or project responsibilities, offering direction and guidance to achieve set goals. They interact with internal departments and external stakeholders, and are responsible for planning, monitoring, and delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships.

A: The typical duration of the Team Leader / Supervisor apprenticeship is 15 to 18 months, depending on the employer and apprentice progress.

A: The End Point Assessment consists of two elements:
Presentation with Questions – A minimum 50-minute presentation followed by 5 structured questions
Professional Discussion – A 60-minute discussion based on a portfolio of evidence, including 5 questions
Both assessment components must be passed to successfully complete the apprenticeship.

A: Yes. Apprentices must:
Achieve English and Maths at Level 2 before the EPA
Submit a portfolio of evidence prior to entering the EPA gateway
If needed, reasonable adjustments are available for apprentices with special considerations or additional needs

Funding Band: £5,000
Government funding may be available to support training and assessment costs
Non-levy employers may be required to contribute 5% (£250), depending on eligibility

A: After completing the apprenticeship, apprentices can progress to:
Middle or Senior Manager roles
