A: The Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner apprenticeship typically takes 24 months to complete, depending on the learner’s pace and employer support.

A: The End Point Assessment includes three components:
Observation – of day-to-day practice in a real working environment
Professional Discussion – structured discussion to assess knowledge, skills, and behaviours
Portfolio Review – evaluation of a completed portfolio of evidence
✅ All elements must be passed to successfully complete the apprenticeship.

A: Before taking the EPA, apprentices must:
Complete all approved qualifications set out in the standard
Achieve Level 2 English and Maths (if not already held)
Submit a portfolio of evidence compiled during the apprenticeship

Funding Band: £9,000
Government funding is available for eligible learners and employers
Non-levy employers usually contribute 5% (£450) unless full funding applies
