  • A: The typical duration of the Operations / Departmental Manager apprenticeship is 24 to 30 months, depending on the apprentice’s pace and the employer’s training plan.

  • A: The EPA includes two assessed components:

    • Project with Report and Presentation

      • Report (maximum 4,000 words)

      • 60-minute presentation followed by 6 questions

    • Professional Discussion

      • 60-minute discussion based on a portfolio of evidence, with 6 structured questions

    Both components must be passed to successfully complete the apprenticeship.

  • A: Before entering the EPA gateway, apprentices must:

    • Achieve Level 2 English and Maths (if not already held)

    • Submit a completed portfolio of evidence

    • Apprentices with special considerations may be eligible for reasonable adjustments

    • Funding Band: £9,000

    • Government funding is available to support training and assessment

    • Non-levy employers typically contribute 5% (£450) towards the total cost

  • A: Apprentices who complete this programme can progress to:

    • The Chartered Manager (Degree) Apprenticeship

    • Senior leadership roles within an organisation

    • Membership with professional bodies such as the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) or Institute of Leadership
