Role Profile
Operations Managers lead teams and manage projects in line with an organisation’s operational or departmental strategy. They are responsible for setting and monitoring objectives, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with legislation and organisational policies. They work across all sectors and interact with internal departments and external stakeholders.

A: The typical duration of the Operations / Departmental Manager apprenticeship is 24 to 30 months, depending on the apprentice’s pace and the employer’s training plan.

A: The EPA includes two assessed components:
Project with Report and Presentation
Report (maximum 4,000 words)
60-minute presentation followed by 6 questions
Professional Discussion
60-minute discussion based on a portfolio of evidence, with 6 structured questions
Both components must be passed to successfully complete the apprenticeship.

A: Before entering the EPA gateway, apprentices must:
Achieve Level 2 English and Maths (if not already held)
Submit a completed portfolio of evidence
Apprentices with special considerations may be eligible for reasonable adjustments

Funding Band: £9,000
Government funding is available to support training and assessment
Non-levy employers typically contribute 5% (£450) towards the total cost
